Hospital Location
Iteru Medical Center was established in February 2022 with a heartfelt mission to reduce human suffering in South Sudan. Founded by Mrs. Aker Deng — a survivor of Guillain – Barré Syndrome — her personal journey of being stranded abroad for over a year due to lack of local treatment access led to the birth of this facility.
As a way of giving back and expressing gratitude to God, Mrs. Deng opened Iteru Medical Center to provide quality healthcare to those who cannot afford treatment abroad. Today, the hospital offers both in-patient and outpatient services, with a current capacity of 16 beds and plans to expand to 40. Dialysis and ICU/HDU services will also be available soon, as we continue to grow to meet the healthcare needs of our people.
